Congratulations, Ernie!

Greetings from the Honda Classic and congratulations to Ernie Els, the winner of the 2008 Honda Classic. (For you non-golfers, Ernie Els is the #3 ranked golfer in the world, not a character on Sesame Street!)

It was a great time working the Laser ShotLink the past four days. We used a laser to measure the distance from the golf ball to the hole, which is used by TV announcers and for PGA Tour stats. Our hole saw a few birdies over the four days, but mostly pars and some bogies. We especially liked those bogie fives--feeling that we can play just as well ourselves. Nice to see the big guns three-putt, too.

Thursday started out with 55 degree temps--I can't believe I had to wear an Under Armor mock turtleneck and a polar fleece to keep warm. People back in Minnesota were calling me a "whimp" and playing their violin's as they felt sorry for me. By Friday and the weekend, temps were back to "Chamber of Commerce weather"--80 degrees, slight breeze and sunny. It was fun to see all the players up close and in person.

This week continues to be a busy week at work--getting some ads done for Golf Digest and Golf For Women magazines, in addition to working on the details for our Women's Golf School the end of the month. Our friends Jane and Don Peterson are in Florida on vacation this week and are coming to see me on Wednesday--so I'm looking forward to showing them the sights in West Palm.

Back to Minnesota on Friday--more later.
