Today my colleague, Kirk Douglas, PGA and I helped promote PGA Free Lesson Month by hosting free 10-minute lessons in the parking lot of our PGA Headquarters office building. We had two inflatable nets and our coworkers were able to sign up for 10-minute free lessons. We taught from 9 to noon and again from 1 to 4 p.m. In all, between the two of us, we gave 72 lessons today! The golfing ability ranged from seasoned golfer to absolute new beginner--so it was a lot fun to help our coworkers and to see people get 'hooked' on golf. The weather cooperated with the temperature around 85 and some clouds--much nicer than the low 90s we've had earlier this week. (Although the freshly black-topped parking lot felt like we were giving lessons on the a tarmac!)
Tomorrow I'm off to New Jersey for a sponsor event at the LPGA Sybase Classic Tournament at Upper Montclair Country Club in Clifton, NJ. More from the Northeast!
