Admiral's Cove

I spent the past week fighting a nasty summer cold...started first with the stuffy nose and then progressed into a full blown cough and cold. My beverage of choice this week has been NyQuill Night and Cold medicine!

Saturday was nice in the morning so I headed out on a bike ride to enjoy the day. It was pretty humid so I ended my ride after about seven miles even though I had originally planned to head toward the ocean. It started raining just after I got home, so I watched the Open on TV waiting for the storm to pass. Once it cleared up, I went to the Champ range at PGA National to try out my new Titleist irons. Thanks to the rain earlier, it was super humid, so my practice session lasted only an hour.

Sunday I played golf at Admiral's Cove in Jupiter. My neighbor invited me to join their weekly morning group. I know the head professional, Matt King, as he and I sat next to each other at PGA Level Three school. It was fun to see Matt again and to get a chance to play his course--one of the nicer courses in the area. Sunday afternoon I watched the final round of the Open hoping the Shark would pull off a win, but glad to see Padrig win since I had him for Fantasy Golf.

Brooke returned home early this morning and Kelsey left yesterday for her church youth group trip to Montana. Guess that means that David had one night of peace and quiet home alone!
