45-holes of golf this weekend...

As you've figured out by now, the weekends I'm in Florida are filled with back-to-back rounds of golf. Saturday I played the Ryder Course at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie with a group from PGA Headquarters. The weather was perfect and we had a great time golfing. Martha Stewart was playing golf in the group behind me! On the way home, I toured around Palm City and Stuart, checking out neighborhoods and schools again.

Sunday I played 18 holes at the Estate course with a co-worker and her husband, Una and Peter Jones. We cruised around in 3 1/2 hours so that allowed me to meet another co-worker and her parents for 9 holes at the Palmer course. There was a typical ten-minute rain shower so after the rain, I headed out to join Mallory and her parents.

So yesterday Martha was in the group behind me--today I actually played with Martha Stewart--since Mallory's mom's name is Martha and her maiden name is Stewart! So I didn't play with the 'real' Martha Stewart--but then again, Mallory's mom confessed to never being in jail, either!! A 'good thing!'

Things at PGA National are a buzz with the start of the Honda Classic this week. It's amazing how the PGA Tour just moves in and takes over. There are five PGA Tour Semi's in the parking lot of the golf club and so far, six big tour buses in the parking lot of the health club by the tennis courts--we're trying to figure out which players are in the tour buses! Many players are out hitting balls at the range and practice putting--I even saw some players at the grocery store this evening!

I'm working the ShotLink laser in the tower on the #8 green all four days of the tournament. It will be a fun week and great to see some tour pros up close. Big names here are Zach Johnson, Ernie Els, Justin Leonard and Davis Love III. Check back later for Honda Classic updates...
